White Sweet Spanish Onion
If you are a northern grower these guys will give you a bumper crop of real out-sized bulbs. Being a long day onion, these guys develop quite late in the season, and need to be in the ground as early as possible in the spring.
If you are in the South, these are just perfect for green onions or scallions, but they are planted in fall for a late spring harvest.
These onions are really great in dishes that require a hint of onion without being overbearing.
Note that sulfate based fertilizers will increase the pungency of these sweet onions.
