One of the cornerstones of the heirloom bean movement. The New Mexican Cave Bean was grown by the ancient Anasazi cliff dwellers that lived in houses they built in or under cliffs in the the Four Corners region of the South West.
The Anasazi influence and tradition lives on in these superb beans that make some of the best dry beans for home cooking. Keep this ancient heritage bean alive by planting it, saving seed and sharing with your gardening friends.
These are semi-bush beans that benefits from support as it does grow tall. New Mexican Cave Bean has shown great dryland production and are an awesome addition to include in your garden rotation or bean collection.
