Phaseolus vulgarus
The beauty of this bean lies in the seed itself, the patterns almost resemble that of the Apaloosa horses, being mottled and spotted and patchy with colors ranging from white to a tan/brown/purpley-black color. These beans get stringy fast and are best eaten very young or as a dry bean. The dry bean does lose its colors on cooking though. Easy to grow bush bean.
