An old African Heirloom from Malawi. We acquired the seed as a gift from a migrant laborer called Gilbert, who brought the seed from his father's farm in Malawi. This variety was passed down in his family for many years and was a staple grown on their family farm.
The flavor is sweet and spicy. Makes the most amazing pickles, with a little extra sugar added to bring out the full piquant pepper flavor.
