Double Rich is a variety that was developed in 1953 by A.Yaeger at The University of North Dakota and The University of New Hampshire by crossing "Lycopersicon Peruvianum" and "Michigan State Forcing." The variety is best known for its impressive amounts of vitamin C, said to be more than the amount in an orange and double the quantity of most tomatoes. The tomato has a delicious mild flavor and and a rich deep red flesh. A productive vine.
