This is a traditional chilli pepper, grown by the Nana family in South Africa for many years. Specially selected by the Nana family to be used in their longstanding Indian recipes: this tells you it has to be awesome....& hot, very hot! Mrs Nana has a really good reputation in the Midvaal area, Southern Gauteng, for her absolutely outstanding Atchar.
This outstanding producer of 4-5" (10-13cm) long deep red chillis is worth growing for their unique flavor and outstanding drying qualities.
