This Swiss Chard , with its contrasting dark green, crumpled leaves and dark red stalks and veins looks just as stunning in the vegetable garden or in the flower garden. Pick from the outside in, often and it will just keep on giving. Can tolerate a fair amount of both frost and heat. Use younger leaves in salads, tho older leaves are delicious fried up with some onions, potato and garlic, the stalks can be cooked with the leaves or prepared separately as a side dish, similar to asparagus.
