Watermelons

As a child growing up in South Africa, I remember how it was common practice to have a watermelon in the swimming pool, keeping cool for desert at any gathering, whether it was just a family Braai (barbeque) or a major event. After an afternoon of swimming and backyard cricket, there was nothing that felt as good as biting into that cool, sweet watermelon.
That feeling is still strong, and every time I bite into a tasty watermelon, I travel back to those childhood memories……
