One of the most beautiful cow pea varieties. We have two strains of this variety. This stunning bright Purple Khobwe, and a light pastel variety that we are still growing out.

Cowpeas are considered one of the lost crops of Africa and we are proud to be closely involved in bringing these back from potential loss.

The Khobwe Purple Cowpea is one of the large seeded cowpea varieties and has a very close relationship with growers in rural Malawi. Only the best seeds are selected for future grow-outs and the bushes that provide next season's seed is always monitored to ensure that it is the strongest and most vigorous plant for that season.

Especially suited for dry-land production, giving this plant food will ensure that you get an abundant harvest of sweet tasty cowpeas.
