 This Heirloom variety is thought to have been introduced to the U.S. via Canadian or Russian Mennonite farmers. The Tarahumara tribe in Northern Mexico adopted loved the variety and adopted it as their own.
The flowers grow very tall and can reach heights of up to 11.5' (3.5m). The large 24" (60cm) plus heads look stunning, with the white seeded flowers attracting birds and bees alike. A field of these is something to behold.
