The description here says they are 'sweet' peppers so I waited for the pepper to go red on the bush, picked it and happily took a huge bite! And then the burn started! Maybe one should rather describe it as a 'sweet CHILLI'!
I wouldn't be able to eat it raw in salads, but it's really nice to add to cooked dishes, where it's fairly mild. Grows fairly large sized fruits. Survived Western Cape winter and happily producing again this summer. Is in a pot and seems quite happy.
